The Olive Tree International Food Fair: Flavours from around the world
The Events Team
The International Food Festival is always a great event for all the Olive Tree Families, a chance to try food from around the world, and this year was no different.
We had food from South Africa, Scotland, UK, Hungary, USA, Argentina. Brazil, Slovakia, Netherlands, Russia, Spain and Ireland.
The children especially enjoyed going around and having their “Food Passport” stamped and guessing the flags from around the world.
The bar was very busy keeping the adults topped up and entertained with our new Events Committee Bar Team, completely stocked and run by the men for a change
We also held a fabulous raffle and had parents and local businesses donate some wonderful prizes – 4 tickets for a VIP Barca match, Free Cinema tickets from Ribes Cinema, Wine from Maidiag Wines, an eco-basket filled with goodies from Sencies Can Girona, Wellness and Yoga vouchers from Jordanne and Emma Reynolds, a waffle maker from Xisca, fresh baked cookies, muffins and bread from Suzy and Lisa, Black Garlic products from Black Garlic, a limited edition of Scotch Whiskey from Jackie.
We are truly thankful from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who donates and gets involved, it really makes these events what they are and our lives much easier.
The role of the Events Committee every year is to help raise some extra “wonga” towards various projects in the school that academic year, this year is the turn for the libraries to get some TLC. We have some fab ideas we want to help the school achieve, and we appreciate all of your support at our events to add a little extra help to Audrey and her team. We will be implementing new changes over the Summer holidays for both Primary and Secondary libraries, so do please come along and support future events.
We thank you all for a fabulous event and look forward to seeing you all at The NutCracker on December 15th.
