International Food Festival

Wow! What a day, thank you so much to all the parents who cooked, steamed, fried, mixed and rolled to put on such a gastronomic event for us all.

The garden was filled with beautiful aromas, colour, smiles and laughter and the sun shone down on us all, what a way to finish the week.

We had food from 16 countries around the world, from French crepes to German treats, Romanian meatballs to Mexico and their aromatic tacos and a variety of homemade chilli sauces. Let’s not forget the Spanish table with Basque cheesecake and tortilla. Brazil bought their Brigadeiro, Esfiras de Carne and Coxinhas. A scrumptious Guinness Chocolate cake from Ireland, sweet treats from Indonesia, and Cornish Pasties from the UK. The Netherlands brightened the tables with orange decorations alongside Appeltaart and Pepernoten. Pannenkeoken and more. Italy had lasagne and there were empanadas from Colombia. The artichoke dip, cake, and Venegret salad came from the USA and Russia, and finally dumplings from Poland.

The bar had Tequila from Mexico and a choice of wines to accompany all the fabulous food…

I hope those who made it enjoyed the event, my team wants to thank you all for taking the time to make it such a success.
