An annual secondary school tradition, last weekend, Olive Tree students attended the Model United Nations, in Madrid or MADMUN. MUN is an educational program where pupils from a variety of secondary schools across Europe, come together and participate in a recreation of the United Nations. The students become delegates from different countries and, for 3 days, they debate and write resolutions to solve topics such as “The conflict in Mali” or “The protection of refugees”, just as the United Nations does in the real world.

Our pupils represented countries such as South-Sudan or Syria and gained a deeper understanding of the situation and in those countries.
Although they were exhausted, they all did a wonderful job! Their hard work and resilience really shone through during their debates and sessions.
