What a rainy weekend we have on our hands- we’ll have to wait for May 26th for ourMini-Marathon.
Perhaps parents could organize a beach picnic earlier than that- it is a long time to wait before we next sit and chat in the sun!
Our Sant Jordi mini-market was a success. The final count of funds was 144 euros. A child’s school meals for one month cost 100 euros: this last fundraiser will buy a child’s meals for 6 weeks.
Our Mensa del Cor basket is now by the main door- please continue to bring in non-perishables to take along to the feeding point.
Years Reception-4 had a wonderful time at the Science Museum on Friday!
They had a guided visit though the rainforest and a 3D trip though Charles Darwin’s adventures on HMS Beagle, as well as visiting the permanent exhibition.
Maths Workshop Years 3-6 | Tomorrow Monday 29th, 3.00-4.00
Paula, our Maths specialist in upper primary and secondary, will lead an interactive workshop on how we give our children a firm grasp of concepts- and how you can best support your child in Maths.
Permission for pictures of your child for website, FaceBook and Yearbook
To streamline our information bank, we have prepared a single document for you to sign and tick, giving/refusing permission for these three publications.
You will be sent this document via email. You may also sign in at Angie’s desk in paper format.
A Yearbook has been proposed as a lovely record of this school year.
It will include photos of the children at work and at play; also children’s quotes and poetry.
Nunzia has very kindly offered to create the Yearbook for us.
We will need as many photos as posible to make this a rich record of your child’s year.
Please send your best images to Nunzia as soon as you can.
Lunch provision next school year
At some families’ request, we are inviting two prospective providers to cook for our children (10th-20th June).
We will then give children and families the chance to vote for the meals they prefer.
If your child does not have school meals this year, please consider letting him/her test the new providers’ food.
To make this a fair test, perhaps your child should also try Saika’s meals on the first week of June (3rd-7th) if s/he has never tried them.
Please let Angie know by May 25th if your child will have school meals during these last three weeks of term.
More information on the two prospective caterers shortly.
(One uses organic produce exclusively; the other is a traditional Spanish, small-scale caterer)
Hats for playtime; Water bottles
We may be in the throes of wet weather this week, but we have already had some hot days in the playground- and the sun will be out again by midweek.
Please send your child into school with a suncap from now on.
A water bottle is also vital: your child can refill it at the drinking fountain.
Labour Day, Wednesday 1st May
School is closed
Let’s hope the weather breaks before then!
Have a peaceful rainy day,
