I hope you are having a restful weekend.
Week 2 was full of energy and excitement! New projects were begun, and new ways of working established. There was a happy, productive atmosphere around school.
Last Wednesday, Years 7 and 8 went on an inspiring trip to the pre-Roman archeological site at Vilanova.
They met the team of archeologists there, headed by Joan García, one of our parents.
The pupils were shown some of the techniques for excavating delicate artefacts; they were also taught about the pre-Roman civilization, the íberos, that inhabited this area.

The Events Committee and families have planned this great annual event to coincide with Peace Day.
At 4.00 pm, pupils will change into their national costume / colours of their country’s flag.
Parents will bring in their delicious national dishes to sell for a token amount; we will picnic in the garden to live music!
Please send in a bag with your child’s national costume / colours of your flag to change into at 4.00. National costume should not be worn all day. Thank you.
If you would like to cook for this event, there is still time! Please contact Alison at firstname.lastname@example.org or your class carer.
Looking forward to it!
Please join our calendar of Inspiring Speakers to the secondary pupils.
Perhaps you can give a talk on a favourite place, a journey, your childhood, an anecdote, a song, a piece of art or a book you love, anything that might inspire our 11-16 year olds.
Or if you can’t, perhaps you could nominate someone who could…J
