Our active learning was in full swing last week.
We had a Mexican friend of the school, Pedro, come to make his national dishes with Year 2.
Year 3-4 were preparing their open afternoon of sponsored events on the theme of Water for All. See below for your invitation.
Year 3 created some stunning model volcanoes, while Year 5 designed and tested their own skydiving parachutes.
On Thursday, Year 10 had a great trip to the IAB theatre to see Shakespeare’s lovely comedy Twelfth Night.

Water for All: sponsored walk, gallery and presentations by Years 3-4

Please come along to Year 3-4’s sponsored event and presentation on those parts of the world that do not have access to running water.
There will also be a gallery of water paintings for sale and homemade lemonade, all in support of clean water charities in the developing world.
Pupils have already raised 1000 euros for this charity work.

Drop in and buy a love cookie or a pink muffin from Year 10, who are running a little cake stall to raise funds for their residential trip to London in May.
Carnival items to wear each day
Pupils may wear a carnival item every day:
Monday- odd socks / shoes
Tuesday- something stripey
Wednesday- something on your head
Thursday- something on your face
Friday- anything you like!
Secondary Parents’ Meetings with Personal Tutors
Monday 17th February, 9.00 – 1.00
You will be sent a digital sign-up invitation to a meeting where your child’s form tutor will give you an update on their progress in all subjects. Thank you for reserving your slot with the tutor (Brooke, Sara or Maria.Y9 families will be able to talk to Katie at the beginning of March). A written report will follow at Easter.
Connections Day in Secondary
Tuesday 18th February
Our inspiring termly event where all secondary pupils spend a day exploring a theme through two different disciplines: Maths and Music, or Art and English, or Science and Geography.
World Thinking Day

A range of activities will jolt us all into thinking more openly and searchingly!
Year 10 Drama Performance
Friday 21st February, 3.15
Year 10 Drama families are invited in to watch a devised piece of theatre, written and produced by the pupils.
Half-Term & Carnival Break
24th – 28th February
School is closed for half-term and carnival between Monday 24th – Friday 28th inclusive.
We open again on Monday 2nd March.
