I hope it’s been a lovely weekend for you.
Miss Fifi’s Great Adventure, the junior Musical Theatre Club’s production last week was a huge success! It was very well attended, too.
The children worked extremely hard and created a wonderful production. We thank Jessica, Nicole and Claire for their work on this lovely musical. We also thank the Events Committee for their popular refreshments bar. A little rest now for cast and production team and then…please start thinking about next year’s musical!
Our Inspiring Speaker in Secondary was Carolina Falcone, a yoga trainer. She spoke about the superpowers that yoga gives when it is practised regularly. This week, she will start to train secondary pupils in basic yoga breathing techniques. We thank Carolina for her time with our secondary pupils.
Education City for primary children
Please remember to encourage your child to spend 20 mins at weekends on Education City.
Teachers update homework activities weekly so that children can consolidate understanding of concepts taught during the week.
The username and password are to be found at the front of your child’s reading log.
Fortnite, a video game for over 12s, is proving extremely popular with some of our primary and even Saplings children. Please be aware of the recommended age for this, and that it is a game that involves killing 99 characters. It is a free online game so your child may be playing it without your permission or awareness.
Staff are noticing that direct references to this game, including its sole objective of killing, is filtering into children’s storytelling and outdoor play in a disturbing way. We have also been alerted to the fact that there is online chat involved in Fortnite, much of which contains offensive language.
