The primary children had a lovely Spanish Arts Day in Barcelona on Friday. They visited the Ciutadella Park and the permanent collection at the Picasso Museum. They also took part in a workshop at the museum, where they painted a Picasso-style portrait.
We thank our Spanish staff Sara and Alicia for this day, and also those families who were able to go along and help support our youngest children.
This week we are very happy to welcome Michal Volfin onto our staff.
Michal joins us as our new Year 5 Maths Teaching Assistant.
Coming up this week:
Car-free Fridays: a cycling convoy!
We continue to challenge our pupils and families to support the environment by not using cars once a week- at least!
Green alternatives include buses, car-sharing, cycling or walking.
If you are interested in organising / joining a family cycling convoy to bring pupils to school by bike, please sign up at the entrance table. One convoy to leave Sant Pere de Ribes (via Puigmoltó), another to leave Sitges, both at 8.15 am every Friday. They would leave school again at 4.00.
Pupils from age 9 are welcome to join- but it needs a strong adult presence.
Can you do it?
New lunch provider
This lunch provider is much more popular with the pupils than our previous company.
If your child had not enjoyed school lunches in the past, you might like to consider them again.
If so, please contact Saray.
GCSE mocks all week
Year 11 are on their exam week.
We wish them much luck!
New clubs in secondary: Padel, Art & Ceramics, Secondary Football, Theatre-Goers Club
If your child would like to sign up for one of these new clubs this term, they should do so on the noticeboard outside the secondary library.
If there is enough interest we can run them.
Please note that Hiking Club will soon be back for the new year! News to follow from the club leaders shortly.
Have a great week, everyone,
