Term got underway last week amid fresh excitement and commitment from pupils of all ages.
Musical Theatre auditions were very well attended for our spring productions of The Wizard of Oz and The Greatest Show on Earth. First rehearsals are this week!

Courtesy Week, whole school: The outward expression of empathy is courtesy
Across the school we will focus on courteous, considerate behaviour this week, highlighting the view that courtesy is a simple way of showing care for others.
Secondary Enrichment: a publishing project and Chinese Language & Culture
This term, Years 7,8 and 9 will each spend six weeks on a Chinese Language and Culture programme on Wednesday afternoons with an experienced teacher.
They will spend the other six weeks of term on a current affairs and publishing project: look out for their newsletter every Wednesday at 4.15!
Martin Luther King Day
We will remember the great man’s legacy and celebrate the changes he brought about.
Year 10 Trip to Vilanova
Monday 20th 9.00 – 11.30
Year 10 heads to Vilanova: the Advanced Spanish pupils to see the classic drama Fuenteovejuna; the Intermediate group to use their language skills in a variety of real situations.
Year 3 Class Production in the theatre
Year 3 families are invited to this lovely play.

Zumba for all!
Zumba is a fun, musical fitness programme: now two experienced Zumba instructors have offered us some after-school classes.
First lessons begin the week of 20th January.

Year 5-6 pupils and families, An Invitation to the Secondary School!

Pupils & families of Y5 and Y6 are invited to a general meeting with secondary staff and some pupils, a tour of the classrooms and a fun, hands-on introduction to each subject we teach!

Chinese New Year
Celebrations will take place to mark the beginning of the Year of the Rat!
A Scots night of storytelling and poetry.
We will celebrate with our favourite Scots tales and poems.
