Our Admissions Policy
Children are welcome to join us at any time during the year.
We are currently accepting admissions for the school year 2021-22 where there are places available in the year group.
If there are no places currently available, or you are not yet ready to commit to registration, you can sign up to the waiting list. You will then be contacted should a place become available.
Your child’s place is only secured once the admissions application form has been completed and the registration fee has been paid.
Availability of Places
Availability is checked in each instance and depends upon whether there are spaces free in any given class or if there is a child leaving a currently full class.
We encourage early applications as places are limited.
- Nursery and Reception (Saplings) maximum 24 children combined
- Year 1 and Year 2 maximum 14 children per class
- Year 3 to Year 6 maximum 18 children per class
- Year 7 to Year 11 maximum 18 children per class
If there is no place available, you may join the waiting list, which requires payment of a non-refundable fee of 100€.
Children on the waiting list are prioritized when places become available.
Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a place.
Academic and Language Assessment
We consider a child’s age, educational history and level of English in the admissions process.
Applying to the Olive Tree
Below is our simple step by step guide to the admissions process at Olive Tree. We are here to help, so if you have any queries or questions about the school or admissions process, please do email us.
We recommend booking a visit so that you can see our amazing teaching staff in action and our active and engaged children. A visit will really help you to get a feel for the school community and our very special ethos.
We look forward to hearing from you!
STEP 1: Please contact our admissions officer, Alex Hensel, via the admissions request form on the website.
STEP 2: You are invited to visit the school. Your child should attend this visit. A headteacher will welcome you and assess your child’s readiness/ suitability for admission. This year, due to Covid restrictions, these visits take place from 4.30 pm. If you do not live locally, a meeting will be arranged via Zoom/Skype/Google Meet instead.
STEP 3: After the visit &/or online meeting, families who wish to register send us their child’s last two school reports and any other relevant documents.
STEP4: Families may register by completing the application for admission, and by paying the registration fee to the bank account indicated on the form.
