Hometime!

The new calmer pick-up from the garden seems to have worked well so far.

Thank you for helping us make this change.

If your child is in a club, they will be taken to the main playground by Saray for a quick snack between 4.00 – 4.15, until clubs begin.

The Events Committee has just announced that our annual and wonderful International Food Day this year will be on Friday 22nd September, to coincide with World Peace Day.

We will celebrate world peace by sharing our national dishes in the front garden.

There will be live music, children will wear the national colours of their flag or their national costume, and families are invited to bring a national dish from their country.

More details soon.

A Weaving Loom

This week, our enterprising building team will be making a weaving loom like this for Saplings.

Mahatma Gandhi, “Sewing and weaving should be an essential part of any education system.”

Inspiring Speakers

We would love YOU to join our Inspiring Speaker calendar this term!

Please consider giving a 20-minute talk about anything you find interesting-  your childhood, your country of origin, a journey, an experience, a place, a book you love, etc.

Talks are for secondary pupils and OT families, and take place at 3.40 on Thursdays.

Please contact me, Audrey, if you would like to help. Thank you!

Meeting: London Colonias, Year 10/11

This Tuesday 12th, 4.00

Our oldest students have a special challenge this year.

They must raise the whole amount to cover the expense of their colonias to London in March.

Please come along to a meeting and find out all about the trip we have booked: the great city activities, travel details and fundraising ideas.

Fundraising will be linked to a charity that pairs of students will choose: 10% of their funds will go to their chosen charity; 90% to their colonias trip.

They need to start fundraising straightaway!

See you at the meeting on Tuesday 12th at 4.00, in the History classroom. Pupils welcome.

See you at school tomorrow!

Audrey
