About The Olive Tree

Dynamic, personalised education for 3-16 year olds

Welcome to our much-loved school for 3-16 year-olds, now in our thirteenth year!

The Olive Tree began life in a small house near the Sitges beach, with the aim of providing a warm environment where the learning was incredibly exciting.

Now, thirteen years later, we have spacious premises with beautiful grassy gardens, a science lab, two ICT rooms, a busy art studio, two peaceful, plant-filled libraries, several outdoor classrooms, two thriving vegetable plots, and an indoor and outdoor theatre. And two ancient olive trees to read under or to climb!

We may have grown but our aims remain the same: excitement for the world of ideas and learning is our priority for all ages.

Additionally, we have small classes to ensure your child’s learning is personalised, and to provide the best emotional support as your child grows.

In the local community, we are known for our creative approach: our gallery of artwork, our theatre productions, our concerts and our engineering projects, where maths comes to life. We are also committed to regular Forest School, fieldwork and other outdoor learning.

And, when a young adult completes their time with us at 16, our exam results are well above the UK average…the result of an environment where learning is everyone’s passion.

We’d love to meet you and your child,

Headteacher

Which Curriculum Is Taught?

We teach the British National Curriculum to children aged 3-16 years. Children enter the school at 3 years old in Saplings, move through Primary, and complete their time with us in Secondary at 16. We teach the British curriculum while making sure every lesson is infused with independent thinking and creativity.

Since 1978, The National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS) has been inspecting British schools in Spain. NABSS schools are fully authorised and recognised by Spanish education authorities as teaching the British National Curriculum. Schools are inspected regularly and then authorised.

The Olive Tree has consistently received excellent inspection reports. The last inspections for Primary (Mar 2022) and Secondary (Nov 2020).

“My kids thrived at The Olive Tree. The education, the teaching, the small class sizes have given them the foundation that has helped them thrive in their further education. Best choice we made.” — PRIYA H.

“You learn in a pressure-free environment. Freedom to learn and enjoyment in education is prioritised over exams. I can relax and be creative. ” — LENA, AGED 14
